Richard is scenarioschrijver en schrijft ook essays. In 2016 behaalde hij de Bachelor Writing for Performance als scenarioschrijver aan de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht. Daarna behoorde hij tot de tweede lichting van het Slow Writing Lab, een talentontwikkelingstraject van het Nederlands Letterenfonds. Tijdens deze eenjarige vrije master verkende Richard zijn Poolse roots en schreef opiniestukken over culturele en politieke ontwikkelingen in het land. Dit resulteerde in een mentoraat bij De Nieuwe Garde, het platform voor beginnende essayisten. Gedurende dit mentoraat herschreef hij het essay 'Instagraf', in Krakau geschreven tijdens de gure winter van 2017. Hiervoor onderzocht Richard verschillende vormen van duister toerisme en de manier waarop een jonge generatie anno 2018 via sociale media de oorlog herdenkt. In mei 2018 verscheen het essay integraal bij online magazine De Optimist.
Zijn teksten verschenen eerder bij rekto:verso, De Titaan en EXPOSED. Gestaag werk Richard aan zijn audiovisuele portfolio. Zo co-regisseerde hij de videoclip bij het nummer ‘Underspoken’, van de Gentse band Low Land Home en is hij ook lid van het Rotterdamse audiovisuele collectief GUAP. Momenteel volgt hij de Master Schrijven bij het RITCS.
Samen met de Vlaamse regisseuse Mieke Briers (1991, Hasselt) werkt hij aan het scenario voor een korte film over een jonge journalist die door gebeurtenissen in zijn verleden stap voor stap radicaliseert.

Richard is a screenwriter and also writes essays. In 2016 he graduated as a screenwriter and gained his Writing for Performance diploma at the University of the Arts in Utrecht. After that he was part of the second class of the Slow Writing Lab, a talent development program of the Dutch Foundation for Literature. During this free Masters program Richard explored his Polish roots and wrote several critical opinion pieces about cultural and political developments in the country. This caused him to attend a mentoring program at De Nieuwe Garde, the online platform for future essayists. During this program he reworked the essay 'Instagraf', written in Cracow during the harsh winter of 2017. For this Richard researched different forms of dark tourism and the way a young generation commemorates the war through social media these days. In May 2018 the essay was entirely published by online magazine De Optimist.
His work was also published by rekto:verso, De Titaan and EXPOSED. Gradually Richard works on his audiovisual portfolio. He co-directed the video for the song 'Underspoken', of the Ghent-based band Low Land home and is a member of the audiovisual collective GUAP from Rotterdam. He's currently studying for an MA degree at the RITCS. Together with the Flemish filmmaker Mieke Briers (1991, Hasselt) Richard's working on the scenario for a short film about a young journalist that radicalises step by step due to things that he went through in the past.
